Time for us to all write letters!

We have spoken with the Council, Councillors and Government Departments. Writing letters is now vital for us to get the attention of the Minister and help generate awareness of community concerns.

Please note, if English is not your first language, you can write to the Minister and Department in your native language, as long as the address and heading of the letter is in English. They will organize translation.

You may like to include the following points or raise other issues:

Re: Planning Proposal - Hill Road Reserve West Pennant Hills

- Lack of contact by the Council and/or your lack of information
- If you didn't receive any notice, (many didn't) - say so
- How far you live from the reserve, and how important it is to you
- Removal of open space and recreation area for the community
- Clearing of Highly Critically Endangered plant species (Blue Gum High Forest)
- Destruction of endangered habitats for animals (flying fox and bent wing bat)
- Traffic
- Impact on land values, views and outlook
- And any other concerns you may have

The matter is now in the hands of the Department of Planning and Infrastructure, so address one letter each to the Minister, and Mr Tom Gellibrand, Deputy Director General. You can write the same letter, and just address one copy to each of them.
